BOSTON V BLANKEY
TUESDAY 17TH MAY.
Visited Boston, and found the parkland course in a verdant state.
True running greens, lush fairways, luxuriant rough and leafy trees.
Prior to the match there was coffee and chatter upon the clubhouse patio.
Mainly about the fifty-five shots that went the way of Boston.
Also prominent was the upgrade to their watering system.
After the match there was relaxation upon the sun terrace.
Between the two Blankney lost 1.5 to 6.5.

BLANKNEY V WOODHALL SPA
THURSDAY 2ND JUNE
Eight pairs played in this match.
A swift and cheerful return to the traditional number of games played in the matches.
Yet another fine event at Blankney GC
Two new [ish] senior members represented Blankney for the first time.
While two past Blankney members returned to the venue with the Woodhall Spa team.
They reunited with plenty of friends at the ‘two clubs and a putter’ social competition.
This fun occasion superbly organised, by Julian Peckham and Steve McGinty.
With functional support received from the usual volunteer facilitators.
Another club social event supplied with enrichment.
The improvement applied from the auspices of the ‘house and social’ committee.
A family barbeque [and take-away] event located in the Centenary Garden.
There was some grass and a rhubarb plant there at one time.
In completion of the report there now follows the match result.
Blankney 4.5-Woodhall Spa 3.5.
