Another match, another fine day!   This time we hosted our friends from Newark.

This is always a popular fixture and is played with good humour.   We had a problem when we first arrived at the Club, as we were three players short because of withdrawals.   However, one of the places was filled by Gordon Brenchley, thanks Gordon, and the other two were filled at the very last minute by Brett Wooldridge, who was called in with 40 minutes to go and with one of our lady members, Joyce Fox, who was press ganged   into playing 10 minutes before Tee-Off!     My thanks to all three.   The after match meal was Fish and Chips which seemed to go down very well.

There were many compliments paid to the green staff for the condition of the course, which was excellent, and our thanks go to all concerned.

The match ended with a win for Blankney  by 6 games to 1.     So we remain undefeated at the present moment.
