The Charity Cup Open (Members only 2021)

Gents

Thank you to all who played in today's competition, The Charity Cup Open, which saw 50 players taking part.

£1 of everyones entry fee from today, a total of £50, will go to a charity to be decided by the Blankney Golf Club Committee.

Congratulations to Eric Feeney who won today's competition with a nett score of 71 beating Stephen Tizard who shot a nett 73.

As always, the results sheets and 2's analysis can be found in the Gents section of the members page on the Club website.

Today saw the start of the gents entering their scores via V1/HDiD and I would just like to say a huge thank you to all who did this, your efforts are greatly appreciated.

The competitions are now coming thick and fast so please keep your eyes peeled on a Sunday evening at 19:00 hrs as there will always be a competition becoming live and ready for entries.

Tonight at 19:00 hrs the Texas Scramble on 20th June 2021 went live for booking.  We are moving away from putting sheets in the foyer and I have broken the booking zones down so that each consists of 5 booking slots.  Once the competition closes for entries a random draw will be made but, because of the way the system is set up, it gives everyone an equal chance to enter and you will get somewhere in the vicinity of your preferred tee time.

Hope you're all enjoying the bank holiday sunshine.

Cheers, Paul

CHARITY CUP SUNDAY 30TH MAY 2021

Gents

Entries will close and the draw will be made for the Charity Cup at 17:00 hours on Wednesday 26th May.  There are still spaces available if you wish to enter.

Now that a lot of members are inputting their scores via V1/HowDidiDo for supplementary rounds I feel the time is right for members to input their own scores for competition rounds and we'll trial it this Sunday for the Charity Cup.  I will leave guidance in the Pro Shop for those who aren't familiar with the system.

Scores must be entered through V1/HowDidiDo as the competition is set up on the V1 system.  Please don't enter scores on the England Golf app for Club Competitions as it won't transfer to the set up on V1.

Cheers, Paul.

Please pay your entry fees in the Pro Shop prior to your round and once finished please enter your scores via V1/HowDidiDo before putting them in the scorecard bin.  Please don't enter them on the England Golf app as the results won't transfer to V1.

Thanks for your assistance in this matter.

Wilkinson Cup

Gents,

Thanks for another great entry for todays competition, The Wilkinson Cup which saw 56 pairs taking part.

Congratulation to Aaron Harrison and Andrew Miles who posted a fantastic score of +9 beating Andrew Akenga and Allan Vincent who shot a very competetive +8 to take 2nd place.

It was obviously a good day for the players whose first name began with the letter A.

As always, the results sheets and 2's analysis can be found in the Gents section of the members page on the club website.

Thanks again for your continued support in entering the competitions, the next one, The Charity Cup Open (Members only 2021) is open for booking on V1/HDID and is due to take place on Sunday 30th May 2021. Here's looking forward to another good entry and, more importantly, the opportunity to be able to frequent the bar for post round refreshments which I'm sure everyone is looking forward to.

Cheers, Paul.
