Blankney Golf Club Captain 2019 - Alan Grieves
Being a member of the club for over 20 years I am very proud to become Captain and on behalf of the members and staff I would like to extend a warm welcome to Blankney Golf Club. I hope you will have the opportunity to visit our golf course where you would be made to feel welcome.
Blankney Golf Club has a long history being established on what was then the Londesborough Estate and now is part of Blankney Estates. Our course is a parkland course with excellent drainage enabling the course to play all year round. We have a membership a little short of 700 with strong Gents, Ladies and Senior sections providing playing opportunities for all levels.
Our PGA Professionals, Graham and Alec Bradley are very friendly and helpful with a well stocked Pro Shop for all your golfing needs. Both Graham and Alec are very experienced coaches with many years serving the membership. The course is well known throughout the County for maintaining and presenting the course to a very high standard, prepared by our hard working greens staff led by our Head Green Keeper John Hart.
The Lady Captain and I have chosen the 'On Course Foundation' for our charity. They reach out to and help an increasing number of Service personnel on their recovery from injury.
As Captain of Blankney Golf Club I wish both Lady Captain, Jules Palmer and Seniors Captain, Ray Harrison, an enjoyable and successful year.
Please come and join us, particularly in our open competitions and rest assured, you will not be disappointed.
That just leaves me wishing you all a wonderful year on and off the course. Remember it's great to play well but more importantly 'enjoy your time on the course'.
