Today's home match against Sleaford could not have been played in better weather, light winds and sun throughout. The course was in excellent condition following the Club Captains weekend with the fairways lush yet short and the greens good and true. A pity then that the home side could not take advantage of these agreeable conditions going down 5 games to 3. Apparently Sleaford Seniors look forward to playing at Blankney because the course is almost always in very good regardless of the conditions and looking at the result it seems that they brought their enthusiasm with them, a challenge then for the return match.
