This match against Canwick Park was a day played in variable wind with the odd shower; however, most players managed to get through without getting too wet. The course was in good condition as the greens were cut just prior to our playing and the fairways, although not well defined, were well manicured. Unfortunately one player failed to turn up so John Thompson (Vice Captain) volunteered to fall back to last place and play the opposition by himself. Unfortunately with this depleted team we could only manage to win three out of the eight pairings, so a win for Canwick and our first loss of the year.
Volunteers are required for the half way house. I noticed today that only one of the remaining home matches has been filled so we desperately need volunteers to take up the rest.
